Julian Jordan Kight III

February 08, 1993 - February 01, 2024

Julian Jordan Kight III

Julian “Jordan” Kight III, 30, died Thursday, February 1, 2024.  Jordan was born in Savannah, GA on February 8, 1993 to Jay & Cindy Kight.  He was a 2011 graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory School and attended Georgia Southern University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

While attending GSU, he was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity and became a passionate fan of all things Georgia Southern, especially Eagle Football.  The last few years, he proudly managed Savannah’s Edwin Watts Golf Store where he helped others enjoy the game of golf that meant so much to him.

Jordan was known for being witty, kind, and a big kid at heart.  He loved playing with his little niece and nephew. Jordan was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and some of his fondest memories were going to Clemson football games with his Dad and Poppy.

Jordan is survived by his parents, Jay and Cindy Kight; sister, Lindsey O’Shaughnessey (Will); nephew & niece, Jay & Caroline O’Shaughnessey; paternal grandmother, Patty Kight; maternal grandmother, Angela Hobbs; His Uncles and Aunt, Krista and Marc Jackson, and Joseph Morgan; and his beloved cousins, Malloree Gray (Jordan), Taylor Morgan (Alayna), & Isabella Jackson.

A Visitation will be held at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home in Savannah, GA at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 4, with the Funeral immediately following at 3:00pm in the Hodgson Chapel

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Jordan’s memory to Team CiCi Strong (cicistrong.com), which is a fundraising campaign led by his sister, Lindsey, for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2024 Visionary of the Year. The campaign opens for donations February 7th.

There are no words to express my sincere condolences to you, Jay, Cindy, Lyndsey, and family. I had the privilege of teaching Jordan in Kindergarten at SCPS and watching him throughout his 13 years there. Jordan was a talented golfer and student who always had a genuine smile on his face. He was kind and such a true gentleman. Jordan was a true reflection of his whole, loving family. I pray that God’s goodness, love, and mercy will grant you all peace as you go forward. God’s word is Truth and He says in Romans 8 that nothing can separate us for God’s love. Praying for you all!
